01 · Situation
Authors were assembling lists from a large vocabulary system.
The administration product connected Words, Activities, Encounters, and Word Lists across grades 6–8. Curriculum authors needed to find, compare, and organise thousands of records without losing grade and stream context.
02 · Core model
Keep source and destination in one view.
A dual-pane workspace placed the searchable, filterable master library next to the list being built. Authors could hand-pick words without leaving the comparison context.
03 · Bulk import
Treat CSV import as review, not blind upload.
CSV import surfaces malformed rows and duplicates before committing. Side-by-side cards let authors compare the incoming word with the master record and decide which version to use.
04 · Safeguards
Destructive actions need a way back.
Confirmation steps prevent accidental removal, while inline notices and undo let authors recover without restarting the task.
05 · Outcome
One workflow covers hand selection and imported data.
The documented output is a complete authoring workflow for search, filtering, selection, CSV import, duplicate comparison, confirmation, and undo. No measured time or error reduction is available.
